Atlanta Divorce Mediators and Mediation Training Institute are all about resolving conflict as early as possible, because that's often when it can be resolved most easily. We invite you to come in and find out more about our work and the trainings we offer. All training courses located in Atlanta are scheduled to be held at the Justice Center of Atlanta, 976 Edgewood Avenue, NE; Altanta, GA 30307. Our Mission Our mission for mediation clients is to assist them in making their lives more positive from the mediation experience. We also believe we can have fun as mediators in mediation training and mediation. After all, we are offering a valuable alternative to people in conflict. Who We Are We are a group of experienced professionals from varying backgrounds who have come together to share our experiences through training others in the mediation process. We are all actively mediating cases, as we feel this is the way to offer the best, most comprehensive, useful training and mediation techniques. Our founder, Elizabeth Manley, was a pioneer in the mediation field and began training mediators in 1979. In August of 2008, Ms. Manley left us and has given the continuation of her mediation vision to the team of professionals she assembled. NEW TRAININGS When Professional Boundaries Collide: A Dialogue for Professionals Working with Divorcing Couples A course for accountants, attorneys , counselors, financial planners, mediators, social workers and therapists. An examination of how we work collaboratibely with other professions on behalf of our clients. 1/2 day workshop 9am - 12pm Location: Henderson Dispute Settlement Center, North Carolina Cost $110.00 Trouble shooting for Experienced Mediators An exploration of mediator skills and styles and how we as professionals apply them. August 20, 2010 1/2 day workshop 9am - 12pm Location: Henderson Dispute Settlement Center, North Carolina Cost $110.00 This 21 hour training will qualify you for mediation in juvenile issues regarding delinquency. A prerequisite for this is the General/Civil Mediation Training. Cost is $650.00. Deprivation Mediation Training We are pleased to announce that we now offer Deprivation Mediation Training. A course that prepares you to provide mediation to families where deprivation is an issue and the children are the focus. Cost $650.00. This new training is for mediators, attorneys and therapists. Marti Kitchens Cobb, LMFT, LPC, and Georgia Geiger, LPC, will be training us in how to recognize and deal with clients with personality disorders. Marti and Georgia are mediators and therapists, so they bring both aspects to this training. We are excited to partner with them.
